Question: '95 Chateau De Fesles

I just purchased one bottle of '95 Chateau De Fesles Bonnezeaux Les Deux Allees for about $20. Does anyone know what I have and what to expect when opened. Obviously it is a CB and expect it to be a demi-sec at least in sweetness.

Walt,
Never had the 1995, but I had a bottle (750 ml) of the 1997 Fesles Bozo (Regular, not LD Alles) about 2 or 3 years ago. It was wonderful with lots of sweet apricot fruit and super acidity. Not at all cloying IIRC. It was very, very youthful at that point with many years to go. I know this didn't directly address your question, but perhaps it will be of at least minmal value to you.

Bill,
Thanks for the data point. I would expect anything in '95 to be slightly less intense than 1997. Hate to ask a dumb question but what does IIRC mean?

Walt,
If I Recall Correctly. And, given my advanced years my recollection isn't all that correct anymore.

It is very sweet and thick -- ready to drink now. Did you know they use 100 percent new oak? I've only had it at a tasting, with none in the cellar.

Guess I should put IIRC at the end of all my posts. Thanks, for some reason I had not remembered that.

Ooops, I don't have Les Deux Allees in my notes. It may have been the regular. Sorry.
