WTN: De Bortoli Vat 8 Shiraz 2004

by Bruce Hayes » Fri Jun 09, 2006 5:10 pm

South Eastern Australia.

Dark purple color.

Blueberry, currants, chocolate and spice on the nose.

Plummy, cherry fruit spicy, sweet, medium-bodied, showing a bit of its alcohol heat.

Fairly long finish of red licorice and spices.

Not bad for $14.95 Canadian.

I am afraid I still like Shiraz Bob. Now that you mention it, my wife and I enjoyed a Spanish Merlot from Miguel Torres last night. Will post WTN soon.
