I have never been able to log on from work, except for a short period of time I was ahead of our techies and could disable security long enough to log in. I cannot do that anymore so I don't post there at all. I look in only to see what the plans are for NiagaraCOOL.
Robin, are you listening????

I'm listening, OW, and surprised to notice this morning that I apparently didn't reply to this.

I'm definitely looking long and hard at the Netscape Forum and this one and trying to discern a way to competently discharge both my commitment to Netscape and my personal commitment to this august body in a way that will benefit both. (How's that for weasel-wording? :-) ) I might make some changes in the Netscape Forum to differentiate it more clearly from WLDG; and I think there's a very good chance that as a part of that process, we'll complete the move of WT101 from Netscape to this forum. We're already trying to run it in both places, but obviously that's been confusing to folks. Expect some fluidity during an interim month or two, but I'm listening ... and looking for help.

Regarding subject matter for WT 101, I am easy with whatever you decide. Have you been talking to some of the regulars from 101?? What is the general impression out there.......Bill? Bruce? Bob Ross?Jenise?

I like specific topics, Bob. How about summer sippers? Regards, Bob

Bob, we're kicking around the idea of going with Merlot, with the subtitle, "Was Miles right or wrong?" :)

I'm still up in the air about whether to limit Merlot geographically, either broadly (California) or more narrowly (North Coast) or even more narrowly (Napa or Sonoma). Thoughts?

Thoughts?

Comparison of wine is always a nice learning process. How about something like "Buck for buck, who's got the best New World Merlot, Chile, California, or Washington?"

I like it! But what would you think about opening it up to "best New World Merlot" without specifics? New York Long Island makes some fine Merlot, f'rinstance. Shouldn't hurt, and we might bring out some surprises.

Never hurts to keep an open mind.

I haven't been around for a bit, and wanted to get a lick in on this subject. I rarely visit the NS site because 1. It is too slow and hard to manage with my dial-up connection, 2. (reason similar to previously deleted entries), and 3. The NS site seems to me to lack the congeniality of this site. I like the idea of the NS site, and hope Robin can find a way to make it work, but I'm afraid it isn't for me, except very occasionally.
Best to all.

Alan, you are a man after my own heart! And BTW we still have the sunday chat, but you have to enter thru the NS site.

Welcome, Alan!

Of course, I still visit the original and beloved WLDG site.

I don't visit the NS/AOL one at all.
