Actually I was always under the impression that 1947 was a lousy Bordeaux year. It seems it was moe than decent in Bourgogne, a region I have yet to fully explore.

Actually 1947 is a legendary year for Bordeaux, at least the Right Bank. The problem is that the prices for the top St Emilions and Pomerols are legendary , too!

But, I think it was generally pretty hot, the 03 of the post-war years, so..
