Carries a "California" designation. From Sutter Home.

Medium-cherry color.

Soft mouth-feel, chocolatey, fairly good cherry fruit, a bit of leafy greeness. The first few glasses also exhibited tart acidity and some heat, along with a long and dirty taste on the finish. Ugh.

To be fair, the wine did improve somewhat with time, losing the heat and dirty finish, revealing a fairly round wine with good cherry fruit and chocolate, although still rather simple.

Priced at $12.05 Canadian and not worth it.

Live and learn.
