Medium body cab from Mendoza. 13.9% abv. Grapes harvested from high altitude vineyards (over 3100 feet) at the foothill of the Andes. Bright purple color. Aroma of roasted plums and some caramel. Ripe plums, some vanilla and toasty oak. Still a bit tannic. It took over two hours to show its best, opening up nicely to show a core of sweet dark fruit. Medium finish. Very good value cab.

Thanks for these notes! I`m not a big chardonnay drinker but the regular Catena is a very nice sipper and around $20 Cdn.
