Postby Gabriel Geller » Mon Jul 08, 2013 10:05 am

Dear Friends, Fellow Forumites,

I regret to inform you that we are closing our store THE WINE MILL. This is the end of an adventure and I'm very happy for having had the opportunity and the pleasure to meet many of you, make new friends, share with your my love for wine and introduce you to some of the best wines from Israel.

Closing-down sale tomorrow Monday & Tuesday July 8th-9th , 20 to 50% off on all our stock. Everything must go!

Thank you all for your continuous business and support.

I'll of course keep being as active as possible on this forum, share my tasting notes and thoughts on good wine and food with all of you.

All the best,

GG

While I never had a chance to visit - you aren't exactly in my neck of the woods, and you didn't feature online shopping - I am sorry to hear that. Wine stores with knowledgeable owners are always a good thing to have.

Really sorry to hear this news. Yours was easily the best wine shop in Jerusalem, and about the only one where you could rely on the advice given in the shop! Just last week I sent a relative connected to a new boutique winery to you in case you might want to taste (and maybe eventually sell) his wine ...

Sorry:

to hear that you have to close so soon after opening;

that I wasn't able to visit your store while in Israel;

and that I'll have to miss the great going-out-of-business sale.

Hope that your next "adventure" will be a great one.

Gab's shop was my favorite place in jerusalem, i'd often pop in and share some wine with him (eer I mean he'd share his wine with me) I was introduced to hundreds of great wines by gab..

Wish he could stay open :(

Gabe,

Same here as everyone else. My wife and I enjoyed our visit to your store on our last visit to Israel; so lovely on all accounts, it's a shame it did not work out.
All the best in future, and hatzlacha in whatever you undertake going forward.

Kol tuv,

Isaac
