I was almost apprehensive to put this up on the board, as this was never an event that Rogov liked, or respected. Still, it is an opportunity for the world to see Israeli wines - so yeay for that.

The organization of The International Wine & Spirits in the Mediterranean (MIWSC) - TerraVino 2012 is pleased to invite companies with wines, liqueurs and spirits from around the world to participate in TerraVino - MIWSC 2012, which is one of the most important wine competitions in the Mediterranean today.

This event TerraVino - MIWSC 2012 is the result of several factors:

A unique experience in the eastern Mediterranean area.
Optimal tasting conditions, according to regulations of the OIV.
The recognition of one of the oldest parts of humanity with awards that symbolize the culture of wine.
TerraVino prizes - MIWSC 2012 are among the most beautiful in the world.
TerraVino - MIWSC 2012 has an international dimension very important as participating products come from over 20 countries worldwide.

The event is being held this year at the Jerusalem Crowne Plaza and will run from the 2nd till the 7th. I think there is a tasting on the 7th, but I am not sure, I emailed gabe the info, I hope he will check it out and post here.

Understood Rogov's issues yet maybe they could have been worked thru with his influence?
Who are some of the tasters and or judges that shine light on what they feel are the best?
