Has anyone had this wine yet? I just bought a bottle and can't wait to devour it. I thought their Malbec was a pretty fine wine for its price.

Haven't had it, but I totally agree with your sentiments on their Malbec. Have to try and find the Cab/Syrah, although my wife typically does not like wines with syrah in them.

Well, the anticipation was struck over the head by a blunt instrument this Friday night.

Nothing anywhere as good as the Malbec, about 90 mins before it settled and after all that it was nowhere nearly exciting enough to drown out the voice of my mother-in-law.

Shame, a real shame. I'm polishing it off now and its ok but I can't recommend this wine right now (still 2011, maybe needs time?) especially as the Malbec is the same price.

Regards and Shavua Tov

2011 Flechas De Los Andes Rothschild Cabernet/Syrah - Argentina

Think with us… Blackberry mushroom paste melded into a Pâté’ of Oak & vegetable skins. This very deep nosed wine is a purple rouge colored dry wine that is a pleasure around the glass. Drinking up on this brings us more blackberries, blueberries & black pepper that’s coats the mouth nicely in a medium dry great mid palette pleasure with big fruity expressions @ 13.5% Alc & $25

Maybe we have some bottle variation?

FRANCE? I think you mean Argentina, with a French part owner.

I'm not so sure what you're describing exactly but neither do I really want to find out... Sounds more like a salad recipe only a Yankee could come up with!
