Recanati Carignan Reserve price differential...

As I am writing my article on Recanati Winery and its wines. I could not help but wonder if anyone else saw the huge price differential between the 2009 Recanati Carignan, reserve, wild and the 2010 Recanati Carignan, reserve, wild? The 2009 Carignan was, a year+ ago. around 239 sheck. The 2010 was around 130 sheck.

1. I've got 2009 a year+ ago for 130NIS.
2. Currently can't find 2010 for less than 140NIS.

Hi David,

130 NIS is an average store price for the wine.
I would have suggested someone has mistaken it for the RSR, but that's expansive even for the RSR...

Recanati wild Carignan 2009 is still listed on-line at Wine Depot for 145 NIS - http://www.winedepot.co.il/Catalogs.asp ... rentpage=1

Maybe you want to send two large individuals in dark glasses to have a chat with whoever was selling it last year at 239 NIS...

Never spotted the Wild Carignan '09 for more than 160 shekel. When you can find it (I'm sold out, and so pretends the supplier as well), the 2010 is also 140-160 shekels.

Sorry David we had that as Retail in the states.. That seems way over the top to be priced like that in Israel.. WOW
