New addition to Recanati's winemaking team

After 7 years of working at the winery Recanati's longtime Cellarmaster, Kobi Arbiv has been promoted to "winemaker", joining winemakers Git Gil Shatsberg & Ido Lewinsohn as a full-fledged member of the team. Anyone who has met Kobi, or tasted some of his delightful Mia Luche wines already knows that this is a well-deserved honor. I look forward to seeing his influence on the wines and continuing to enjoy his Mia Luche wines (given that Ido also has his owne "winery" - Lewinsohn, I assume [and hope] Kobi will continue to produce his wines as well.

Never heard before of Arbiv's Mia Luce. Does he have a kashrut certification? I've looked it up and Arbiv seems to be following the path of israeli/mediterranean wine with his blends of Merlot and Carignan (Rosso 2009) and Carignan/Petite Sirah (Rosso 2010). The choice of the name "Rosso" is a bit surprising as it's also the name of Lueria's second red wine. Arbiv may have thought using the name before them , the Lueria was named "Rouge" before they changed it to "Rosso" for the 2008 vintage.

Mia Luche means My Light and indeed the winery sells mostly to restaurants and some individuals. I too did not think this winery was kosher. Either way, another small winery to look into.

Forward thinking is what I see with Recanati.

May developing some new sections for each maker or just a Good Chulent of minds to create a masterpiece.

Will wait and see if the winery grows to another level as the scores and Reviews that are coming on Israel in General are stunning to me.
