Not sure if you guys are seeing some of the behind the scenes videos I made a year ago in Israel but I just made a new one public & it has some interesting info such as Castel ages the Petite Castel in fancy/expensive NEW oak for a short while to take some of the harshness of a brand new barrel away before moving the Grand Vin juice into that barrel and shifting the Petite into used barrels.
Gary, it began as a standard type of marketing video, with plenty of hype. Changed dramatically with the Seguin Moreau rep's discussion of wood, toast, and the purpose of oak. Actually became quite a nice video. My congrats. First, the standard marketing video showed a lot of polish. Second, about the wood, information was conveyed.
Agreed - good stuff Gary. Nice bit of info on the barrel aging - didn't know that. More videos that offer a bit of information about the wine, winery or varietal itself would make the videos more interesting/entertaining (I'd recommend making them a wee bit longer as well - maybe 2-2.5 minutes each which would likely give you enough time to say a bit more about the wine).
