Sea Horse, Special Edition, Carignan, 2008

Opened a bottle of this wine today for the first time, and was puzzled. According to Rogov's TN (in the last edition of his guide), I was expecting to
taste a muscular wine reflecting 24 months in French oak, with chewy tanins and plum and tobacco notes. However, what I've got was very different:
light brick in color. very light body, no oak felt. Pleasant acidity. Reminds of rose, rather than of red.

Has anybody tasted this wine?

Hm, strange, light brick in color already? Perhaps it's aging so fast due to some storage/cork issue. Did not taste it yet.

This would not be the first case of bottle variation in this winery...

I thought so too, but I had thought they'd outgrown that.
