Yiron Syrah 2005 - any updates

Postby Alek W » Sun Sep 28, 2008 6:09 pm

Rogov hi,

your latest piblished TN for this wine is dated by December 2007 and marked as advanced. Back in July you wrote (on the old forum):

"My tasting note follows. Keep in mind of course that this was an advance tasting (already bottled but not yet ready for release) so the note may shift just a wee bit when the wine is released.

Galil Mountain, Syrah, Yiron, 2005 (Advance Tasting): Dark, almost inky-garnet in color, medium to full-bodied, with fine balance between soft tannins, spicy wood and fruits. On first attack raspberries and chocolate, those yielding to blackberries, cur-rants and a rich floral note. On the long finish the tannins rise along with fruits and an appealing hint of red licorice. Drink from release–2013. Score 91.K "

The wine is already released - are there any shifts in the note?

Alek, Hi.....

Have re-tasted twice since release. The above tasting note holds firmly.

Is this released only in Israel or US, too?

Will be released in the US in the coming months. I gather the '04 Yiron Syrah is a very popular item and look forward to the '05...
