Following are my latest tasting notes for the wines in question. The tastings were made about 4 months ago and as you will see they are in a "drink up" condition.

Ben Ami, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2004: Medium-bodied, with soft tannins and generous hints of smoky wood opening to reveal wild berry, currant and cassis fruits. Drink up. Score 85. K
Ben Ami, Merlot, 2004: Garnet red with a first hint of browning, continuing to show soft tannins and black fruits. A simple entry-level wine. Drink up. Score 83. K
