God's in her heaven and all is well on earth. All you've got to do to go organic, to raise animals in the most humane of possible ways even to the point of loving and adopting them as pets, and to solve all of your dairy issues (and, if you've got the heart, your meat requirements as well) is to adopt a Dexter or two or three. Only requirement is plenty of grass in your home garden for them to eat and an occasional bit of love. Well, and to ensure that they become pregnant from time to time. The Dexter, a breed of mini-cow, is now available for home use and/or consumption as you choose. See the article in the Times-On-Line at http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/u ... 547604.ece
As to the other animals suggested as pets in the article.....entirely up to you.
