Hi.About a year ago the Red Fern wines from Long Island were brought up at Rogovs Ramblings(DR had not tasted them).
Has anyone out there tasted them? Saw them for sale in Brooklyn.h

I have had them a few times - simply said - no better than Herzog's basic line. In some varietals they are worse. I do not remember all the vintages and varietals - but they are comparable overall to Herzog's basic wines.

I have never tried their wines, but I have spoken with one of the owners/winemakers. A nice guy from Long Island. Apparently they made no 2007 wines as the source of their fruit passed away. They intend to continue operations in 2008.
Said owner/winemaker is more than happy to speak with people about his wines and you should feel free to reach out to him directly.
