Lemon and kiwi, with red fruit -raspberry?- and buttered biscuit. This is a leesy SOB and the partial Malo is really prevalent. Full-bodied, but with a battery acid finish. A fully satisfying and friendly Champagne that is damn hard not to love. $45

JC, I agree. The Clos des Goisses is one of the finest Champagnes money can buy. It needs years of cellar time though. The 1996 is like drinking a cheese grater.
