I was very fortunate to attend a lively Champers tasting last week in downtown Edmonton. This wine in particular stood out for me and after I eyed the famous Rose on the shelf!!
WTN: NV Billecart-Salmon Blanc de Blancs.

Very fine mousse with truffles, apple and marzipan on the nose. Also some toast and citrus. The palate was fresh and lively, a softer style, pear and apple with good acidity. Only 2 oz poured, could have used some more!!

B-S rocks! They consistently make wines that are perfectly to my taste. I like them so much I've been thinking of making a big investement: one bottle of Cuvée Nicolas Francois 1996 - one of the yummiest wines I've ever had. Costs like hell though.

Can you get their basic NV there? That or the rosé NV might be a fun idea for an open mike!

Apart from palme d'or, I find Feuillatte a bit boring. Correct, but boring and therefore too expensive for me to buy.

It's a shame that the B-S's rosé's price has been creeping up. I just noticed while looking at our monopoly's web site that the price has gone 10€ up since I last bought it.
