Pol Roger Brut Vintage 1998
Very sophisticated yeasty, bready aromas, it's dry, a little spicy and very racy with a little earthiness mid palate while stone fruit and citrus take over the lingering finish. A beautiful Champagne to sip and savour.

What is the overall Pol Roger style? I have never had any of their champers. It's one of the houses I really want to try before the month is over though.

I would describe their overall style as 'drinkable'.
I don't often drink vintage Champagne, but the Pol 1998 really pleased.
I have a tasting note for the NV tasted last month - but it's just misplaced in a pile of paper at the moment. This is one of my fave NV's along with Piper Heidsieck NV, which is very creamy.
