Opened one hour, decanted. Good cork, 13.5% alc. This winery is top of my bravo list these days after tasting excellent Zin and P Noir at local tastings. I have to say best cab this month so far.
Colour. Pretty standard, medium intense centre. Ruby-red verges onto a pale purple rim.
Nose. Seemed quite closed at first but after an hour, found some cassis, oak, spice. Blue fruit and some chocolate after 2 hrs.
Palate. Initial mouthfeel entry is tip of tongue sensation! Acidity reaction? Blackberry and currants, slightly tannic, oak and some RS. Lengthy finish, here`s some cherry, tobacco quite velvety. Certainly not as astringent as a previous `01 tasted at a wine show. This is a very nice wine for under $20.00 Cdn.
