Central Valley.
From Jacques and Francois Lurton.
Decanted.
Very dark purple.
Lovely nose, sweet, spicy and chocolate.
Silky mouthfeel, chocolate, dusty cherry and tangy raspberry fruit, fairly thick, peppery, red licorice, showing a bit of roughness toward the end.
A very rich, but restrained wine, powerful and complex but not flashy.
Lacking, thank goodness, the green, drying woodiness I so often associate with economical Chilean Cabs.
Screwcap closure.
A big and very complex wine for the incredible price of $11.95 Canadian.
