Good red color appropriate to age. Tangy red fruit at first suggests a younger wine, as there's no noticeable secondary development of the kind one would hope for. But in the glass it changes rapidly, turning savory with some olive and plum notes, and then threatens to either turn pruney or some other version of due south. And it does neither, in the same way it's neither particularly pleasant nor unpleasant. It's almost like it's trying to hide in plain sight. It's just there. We both finished our first glass, but neither of us was tempted to go back for a second.
I have another bottle. Wonder if it will be any different?
