Clive Coates in his great book "The Wines of France" has some interesting facts about the various crus. Here`s a website that may be of interest too and hopefully might create some discussion as we get into Gamay!

Bob - thanks for the link. Nice article - concise enough to print out and take to the wine store as I peruse the shelves. Now, if someone could make understanding German wine that easy......

That's a handy distillation, it refreshed some things I'd forgotten and taught me some things I didn't know. Thanks for posting it.
