63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Shiraz.
Very nice wine although in a more international fruity/oaky style than what I'd normally look for. That said, still very well balanced and at $20 (close out price from Garagiste) I have no problems drinking a bottle of this. Dark purple-red in colour with coffee notes on the nose at first that step back with air allowing plums, blackberries, earth and some spices to emerge. Savoury on the palate combining rich, very ripe red and dark fruited flavours with earthy and toasty notes, with moderate acidity and chewy tannins underneath. Shows a touch of heat on the finish as this warms up.
