IGT Sicilia

Light yellow in the glass.

Spicy, somewhat Riesling-like nose.

Honey, peach, lemon, grapefruit, spicy, medium weight, floral, tangy, light citrus rind toward the end. Offers a lemonade-like refreshment.

Mouthwatering and tangy on the finish.

Purchased for $13.95 (Canadian).

It is amazing how hot Sicily can make mouth-watering whites from its native varieties like Grillo. I don't know why anybody bothers with the dull wines which they make out of international varieties.

I agree with you Tim. Sicily is my "go to" country now for interesting and off-beat whites and reds. For some reason, the LCBO in Ontario seems to bring in quite a bit of wine from this region.

Out here, we are also seeing Sicily gain more shelf space. It used to be a minefield out there but you guys (and the interent) are keeping us on our toes!!
