`07 Goulart Reserve Malbec, Mendoza.

This was served at a recent tasting downtown.

WOTN for me and many others, great value at $26 Cdn. Buy buy!!
Long history with this winery, 90 yr old vines. On the nose I found ripe cherries and plums. Pepper and oak/spice topped up an appealing (ripe) finish. Best nose here, good fruit extract, moderator thought too oaky on opening but filled out very nicely. QPR at this price forumites.

Depends on how the oak strikes me, but if I see it I may try it.

I find that too many Argentinian wines are layering on the oak to get more international exposure.
There behind the glass lies a real blade of grass. Be careful as you pass. Move along. Move along.
