2006 La Casaccia Grignolino Poggeto (Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese DOC, Piemonte, northwestern Italy) cork closure, 12% - imported to USA by Oliver McCrum Wines, Richmond, California – my first Grignolino – appears cloudy pale cranberry, smell slight cranberry, rocks, metals, with air, fruit, flowers, blood, taste tender and delicious from first impression, flowers, tender fruit, delicate, light, and delicious, a juice box for adults, how do I not drink this wine every week?, a bit of tang to keep things interesting, some blueberry tar with iron, but mostly just juicy deliciousness, the kind of wine that makes my mouth water, still lovely on day three, beautiful stuff, for $16, are you kidding me?
