Various notes on main forum reference the Cab Sauv of late so thought this might be an excellent buy for $16 Cdn. All Malbec-Hounds might enjoy this one, good QPR indeed!!
13.5% alc, fair natural cork, opened one hour, did not splash decant but thought about it?
Color. Medium red-ruby w. some purple tinges on the rim. Appeals!
Nose. Hint of oak, cherry, cassis, chocolate, dark berries on day 2. "Cranberry" from across the table.
Palate. Initial entry thoughts are smooth, ripe-ish, plum, oak, cherry. Long soft finish, good acidity, integrated tannins, no heat. Simple and approachable, blackberry on day 2 with some earthyness. Good QPR, $16 is a good price hereabouts.
