Good quality cork, $26 Cdn, 13.5% alc. Opened and decanted for one hour, as per Jenise thoughts. Served with crab cakes and light cocktail sauce. 70/30 SB/Semillon.

Color. No more than a medium straw.

Nose. Soft appealing aromatics. Grass, hint of gooseberry, kiwi after an hour. "Fresh cut hay...passion fruit" from across the table. Some peach kicked in after a couple of glasses.

Palate. Very good acidity, mineral tones, some citrus which lengthens nicely. Just a tad off-dry, apple and oily as it airs. Finish bit more upbeat than the `06 but not as creamy however. Tad more racy but might evolve overnight? Very nice wine, tended to overpower the crab though.
