Joe Dressner on Wine

The Wine Lovers' Page is delighted to welcome Joe Dressner as another in our growing international group of contributing writers. Joe is a principal in the importing firm of Louis/Dressner Selections in New York City. He spends two-thirds of the year in New York and the remaining one-third in the vineyards of France. While Joe has financial interests in the wine trade, he also has an insider's perspective that we hope is useful to our readers.

Joe's firm looks for artisan winemakers, who harvest by hand, vinify with wild yeasts, work with old vines and who avoid many of the modern winemaker techniques that have become so popular today. Joe likes to think of himself as an enthusiast first -- someone who has turned a passion for wine into a business. Watch for his columns regularly!
