Born into a military family in Frankfurt, Germany in 1970 ... spent two years in Europe before family moved back to United States ... raised and educated in Syracuse, NY ... graduated from SUNY Geneseo with BA in Communication in 1992…career path took me to Rochester, NY in 1996 ... married in July 2000 ... built a house in Walworth, NY May 2001 ... live happily with wife Jennifer and our two cats, Simon and Garf. Wine: Interest in wine began in the late 1990's with a day trip to some of the local wineries in the Finger Lakes Region. Slowly I began to experiment with more and more wine from all over the world. Soon after I was hooked - began to read wine magazines, wine books and taste more and more wine from all over the world. Wine has become not only my favorite hobby, but also my passion. Recent wine accomplishments/achievements include:
Future goals include attaining the designation of Certified Wine Educator [CWE] from the Society of Wine Educators [approximately 130 in the world] and then on to the prestigious title of Master of Wine [MW]. Along the way I hope to prove my theory to everyone that will listen that "wine is more fun than you think."
